The station Dolny Polubny (Unter Polaun) had 2 rails and 3 switches. Both the rails and switches were provided with the Abt cog rail. The construction of switches with Abt cog on the "normal"
gauge (1435 mm) was very unique.
Due to bad state of the rail were the switches removed
during track reconstruction in 1992. Despite of the kultural
monument status were the switches scrapped in 1996.
In the year 2025, when the general reconstruction of the
track took place, the station Dolni Polubny was renewed and the newly
manufactured cog switches were installed. On 2nd October 2025 the new switches
were tested with the cog locomotion 715 (previously T426.0 ). |
