Mr. Vlada Pesik sent four pictures from the DMU tests on Korenov cog railway and appended the following comment:

Yesterday, on may 10th 2006, the traction tests on the railway segment Tanvald - Korenov took place. The tested DMUs were
814+914, 2x 814+914, 843, 843+043, 854+Btn. According to the assumptions the 814+914 were not succesful. By my internal opinion the more powerful engine is rather harmful. The two 814+914 coupled were even worse. Distinct gearboxes did not work synchronously - and so we hung up.
The best results gave 843 (together with 043). 854+Btn - nothing special, Btn is too long and in the curves "twirls".
I append several photos, some of them (814+914) are already now the history. These DMUs will never run on this track. By the way, the weather was wonderfull and the traction conditions were ideal.
